This year I’m participating in an anthology packed with talented artists, and the theme is “CHANGE”. Joe Stone organises it at WIP Comics, and it’s the first time that any work of mine features in a Kickstarter campaign. It’s also our first Kickstarter as a group. So we’re all very excited about it!
Initially, I wrote a story about a family who arrived at a space station. But when it came to the drawing stage, I found myself sketching four pages about grief and why I stopped playing the violin. It’s been a while since I made an auto-biographical comic, but before moving to fiction, my first strips were about processing feelings.
So this was a return to my roots, of sorts. And it felt great!
It’s a sad comic, but I promise that it ends on a positive note!
If you’d like to get your hands on the book and own 170 pages of original comics, you can support us on Kickstarter. Bonus points, you’ll receive an extra 32-page anthology because we hit one of our stretch goals.
Here’s a mock-up of what the cover may look like:
Does this sound like something right up your alley? Back it on Kickstarter!
